HUMAN RESOURCES

The Cypress Human Resources team supports our global company, which operates in more than 23 countries worldwide. Specific HR roles at Cypress may include:

HR Manager: Directs the planning, development, implementation, administration, and budgeting of most or all of the following human resource functions: employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, organizational development, affirmative action, HRIS training, and health and safety services programs. Advises company management in personnel policy and program matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions as consistent with strategic direction. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

HR Compensation/Benefits Analyst: Performs staff support activities to develop, implement, and administer compensation and benefits policies and programs. Develops and/or participates in compensation/benefit surveys to analyze company’s competitive position. Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines and recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems. Recommends company salary structure movements, salary increase budgets, and FLSA exemptions. Prepares special studies and makes recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation or stock options. Administers and communicates the company’s benefits program plan options, features, and enrollment requirements. Assists employees with benefit claim administration inquiries. Analyzes cost containment strategies. Ensures company compliance with federal and state laws governing both compensation and benefits practices.

HRIS Analyst: Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility, and usage of employee information for Human Resource department planning and activities. Maintains internal database files and tables, and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of Human Resource management and staff. Works with Human Resources personnel to evaluate HRIS software and hardware needs and may design new or modify existing HRIS to meet changing demands. Often works with payroll and its personnel to coordinate retrieval and reporting functions. May serve as HR department liaison to MIS/IT function.

HR Representative: Functions as a generalist in a variety of Human Resources activities. May screen resumes and applications and may interview applicants. May counsel employees concerning work-related problems and conduct termination interviews, providing feedback to management when necessary. Maintains records for EEO and affirmative action reporting requirements. Writes position descriptions. Conducts research and analyzes data on assigned projects. May assist in the formulation of personnel policies and procedures.

HR Business Partner: Works closely with management in the implementation of corporate policies related to human resources, organizational and employee development at the business unit or division level. Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach. Participates in company-wide programs and initiatives. Assists senior management in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives. May play a role in administering talent management and succession planning activity within client organization. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving.

HR Staffing/Employment Representative: Develops and administers staffing/employment and recruiting programs. Promotes the company image to candidates and external service providers. Identifies candidates and develops networks of people and processes to support a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. Negotiates and/or supports hiring manager in developing new-hire compensation package/offers. Works with agencies, recruiting contractors and/or internet website representatives in the course of conducting employment advertising campaigns. Develops, supports and maintains college recruiting, affirmative action and career development programs.

HR Training Instructor: Conducts supervisory, management or nontechnical skills training courses for internal staff. Interacts with functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses. Prepares lesson plans including the method, media, and documentation to be presented. Instructs participants in classroom lectures and/or group sessions.
