The Cypress Sales team’s main functions are to maintain and generate new revenue streams for the company as well as work with customers to develop new business opportunities.

Account Executive:  Provides business expertise for assigned accounts (OEM and/or CM) in a given territory to meet overall strategic and revenue plans. Customers and partners view the account executive as a valuable resource to their business. Duties involve growing the demand-creation funnel, revenue, and market share. Account executives must be knowledgeable about the TAM/SAM/SOM in their assigned account or territory, the customer/partner business challenges, and the design and purchasing locations. They understand their customers’ and partners’ political influence maps and engage the key decision makers.

Field Applications Engineer: Responsible for providing technical support in the form of answering questions, training, and/or demonstrating the uses of the company’s products to customers and field personnel. Assists in the development of product specifications and applications material useable by the customer and explores the business feasibility of general marketing. Standard practices and procedures are followed in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

Field Sales Engineer: The Field Sales Engineer is a hybrid of a traditional Sales and Design Engineering position where technical and product knowledge are a must.  At Cypress, an entry-level Field Sales Engineer may support customer accounts and manage decisions within established policies and standard practices. Junior FSE’s can own customer accounts or work on a team. Typically responsible for smaller accounts or have a small territory.  At senior levels, FSE’s will develop new or existing accounts and will support larger accounts. Candidates for these positions must demonstrate communication and time-management skills.

Regional Sales Manager: Responsible for maximizing sales in an assigned region. Coaches and develops salespeople in the assigned region. Manages the sale of the organization’s products through direct and indirect channels on a regional basis. Manages direct sales and manufacturers representatives (anywhere from two to 20 sales representatives). Manages FAEs (one to three) and inside sales (zero to one) as direct reports. Develops and executes territory plan by achieving revenue, design and customer-satisfaction goals. Creates strategy to achieve regional goals. Anticipates and reacts to changes in market trends. Designs, reviews, and updates action plans with reps and FSE/FAEs, Coaches Rep sales. Steers Cypress resources to support opportunities. Develops and maintains key customer relationships at all levels. Partners with customers through consultative and strategic selling. Designs, reviews, and updates action plans with reps and FSE/FAEs. Mentors Sales Representatives.
