Job Description

Fab Product Engineering is responsible for meeting goals for cost, yield, performance, and reliability throughout the product life cycle (introduction, qualification, ramp, volume production, end of life).  The candidate needs to engage both individual and as a team member to analyze and solve all related problems, focusing on wafer fab execution and some level of test program robustness. 

PEs are expected to have or develop substantial skills in the following:

• Goal setting
• Logical problem solving
• Yield modeling (Ys/Yr) analysis and improvement
• Product characterization and engineering use of wafer test programs
• Effective data/statistical analysis and presentation
• Physical and electrical failure analysis
• Risk management

KNOWLEDGE:

PE’s are expected to have or develop relevant knowledge of the following:

• Wafer level test program, conditions and capabilities
• Product design and block layout; interaction of testing and design
• Fab process technology and flow
• Data analysis/mining applications and techniques
• Parametric test parameters and their influences/effects
• Reliability physics

Skills

• A technology related BS degree plus 7 years related experience, or MS degree plus 5 years experience, or PhD plus 1 year experience. 
• Requires a demonstrated technical expertise in product, performance, yield analysis, and testing characterization, with the ability to organize and lead projects. 
• Preferred candidates have had experience working on logic, microcontroller, or analog devices.
