Job Description

 

Cypress Semiconductor Ireland is recruiting for its team in Cork Ireland. The team is developing product differentiating Human-Machine-Interface IP for several markets including Automotive, Home Appliance and Internet of Things/Wearables. As such it is the Centre of Excellence for Capacitive Sensing IP development within Cypress Semiconductor. The team is responsible for the design and development of capacitive sensing IP such as Touch Screen Controllers, Fingerprint Controllers and Capacitive Sensing Controllers. In addition, Cypress Ireland is responsible for the delivery of IP designs for the Cypress Traveo II Automotive range of products (http://www.cypress.com/solutions/automotive-solutions).

 We are actively seeking a talented analog designer who wants to join a dynamic and experienced team and take their technical knowledge to the next level in our mission of excellence.

In this role, you will

  • Design and verify state-of-the-art analog circuits achieving high performance, low power, and efficient implementation.
  • Work with IP leads to define IP specifications.
  • Supervise layout designers to implement circuit designs with best-practice layout techniques.
  • Support IP characterisation into high volume production.

Skills

The ideal candidate will have

  • experience with various analog circuits (sensors, switched-capacitor, ADCs, DACs, Delta-Sigma, high voltage circuits), including definition, design, verification, and characterization.
  • have the ability to resolve cross-functional technical issues with system architecture, technology development, modelling, product engineering, and applications groups.
  • have an understanding of analog IP development, chip integration, floor planning, timing analysis, physical design, and mixed signal verification.

The candidate must have the following:

  • Proven expertise in Silicon product development preferably in the human machine interface space
  • The ability to work as an individual and as part of a team to deliver complex IPs
  • Understand system implications of silicon design decisions
  • Bachelor/Masters/PhD Degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years industry experience
