Job Description

Cypress Automotive Embedded Software team is seeking for talented Embedded Sr Software Engineers to join our Video and Graphics Competence Center in Munich/Planegg-Martinsried.  

The software team in Planegg-Martinsried is responsible to develop high quality embedded software for automotive graphics applications going for production in typical applications like HUD, CID, Instrument Clusters.

The candidates should have a desire to be a key contributor for graphics applications and driver development with excellent embedded software programming skills.

Experience in embedded graphics applications, Open VG, Open GL is acknowledged.

 

Major duties include  

  • Design, implementation and testing of graphics software drivers and components following Automotive SPICE process 
  • Generate professional documentation, and product user guide to ensure the delivery and maintainability of a high quality automotive product
  • Evaluate software requirements to keep pace with customer design requirements
  • Contribute to the software architecture and detailed design specifications 
  • Work closely with hardware design team to benefit from hardware/software co-design and optimize feature implementations 
  • Provide support to customers for graphics software products  
  • Develop graphics application demos, execute case studies, validate application use-cases and develop benchmarks
  • Work cooperatively with other Cypress departments like Hardware Design, Marketing, Application Engineering

Skills
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
  • +2-3 years proven industry experience in the area of embedded C/C++ programming
  • Excellent knowledge about microcontroller programming, debugging
  • Ideally some experience with graphics applications, Open VG, Open GL, use of graphics libraries
  • Understanding to develop software according automotive SPICE  
  • Familiar in use of state of the art tools like
    • Life Cycle Management systems (e.g. Polarion, Doors)
    • SVN, GIT
    • Test Autmation tools for Unit Tests, Integrations Tests, System Tests 
  • Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Committed to self-development and expanding your knowledge base
  • Good English language skills, German well acknowledged   
  • Open minded team-worker to work in an international team
