Job Description

  • Demonstrates good customer and sales support skills.
  • Service oriented attitude, superior interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Balances reactive & proactive activities and work to systematically improve the customer experience and ultimately will be measured on customer and sales satisfaction.
  • Responsibilities include performing moderate scope of assignments in the support of the sales managers, marketing and factory through cold calling and follow up on sales leads.
  • Responsible for supporting accounts in a region or district.
  • Trains customers on use of company website and applications.
  • Has knowledge of industry through sales and distribution channels.
  • Establish and maintains partnerships with channel partners.
  • Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Receives general instructions from direct manager on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
  • Establishes relationships with customers at all levels to build trust and commitment.
  • Consistently sets challenging goals with the ability to accomplish them even with a heavy workload.
  • Employs a thorough understanding of customer base.

Inside Sales Reps need to handle the following for all customers (including Key, Strategic and Automotive):

  • Manual Order entry, including change orders
  • Managing EDI orders/change orders
  • Manage customer cases/inquiries this includes expedites, allocations, escalations, customer line down, general customer questions
  • Manage and respond to customer inquiries that come in through customer care email alias and 1-800 number
  • Set up new direct customers
  • Set up and manage CMI (customer manage inventory)/VMI (vendor manage inventory)
  • Resolve and respond to customer issues/requests

Skills

  • Primarily intra-organizational with some inter-organization contacts on routine matters. Partners with Sales Managers.
  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Coordinator for customer support. Involved in account initiatives.
  • Assists management in long-term project scheduling. Included in originating account or territory plan. Drives to a forecast.
