Job Description


The Cypress finance team has been working on various process improvement and automation initiatives. Some of the projects that we have completed in the last two years include:

  • upgrade to Oracle R12 version from a 10+ year old Oracle ERP version,
  • implementation of WDesk – a tool we are using for BoD and SEC reporting,
  • implementation of ARCS – an Oracle cloud based accounts reconciliation automation tool,
  • implementation of AuditBoard SoxHub – a internal controls and SOX program management platform,
  • implementation of EPBCS - an Oracle cloud-based budgeting and forecasting tool
  • Close process acceleration
  • Streamlining of internal reporting structure

As we continue our transformation journey, amongst other initiatives, we have planned for creation of a finance datawarehouse, roll out of a business intelligence and reporting tool, and automation of certain manual processes through RPA.

Key responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Finance Transformation to join our team. This individual will structure and drive the execution of cross-functional initiatives of business technology enablement, process and policy improvement, including change management and confirmation of success objective realization. The role will be based in San Jose, CA and will report to the Senior Director, Assistant Corporate Controller. Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Act as the PMO for the transformation projects and drive them to successful execution 
  • Provide oversight over initiation, planning, definition, design, development, testing and deployment cycles of individual projects
  • Proactively identify opportunities and generate ideas for process / policy / systems improvements within the finance organization
  • Develop business requirement documentation with the respective IT and business constituents
  • Drive cross-functional implementation of policies and procedures 
  • Establish RACI around project roles and responsibilities
  • Organize appropriate change management communications to all project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Drive regular forums to update business communities and steering committee on progress, status. Escalate issues and contribute / monitor issue resolution
  • Provide flexible capacity support to the corporate accounting team on SEC reporting and US GAAP technical accounting issues 


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education/Training
  • BS/BA degree in Business / Accountancy or related fields (required); MBA or Masters (preferred)
  • CPA, CA or equivalent (required)
  • Project Management or continuous Improvement certification or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience
  • 15+ years overall experience with Big 4 or finance teams of large to mid-cap organizations (required)
  • 5+ years of project management / process improvement related work experience in a complex, global corporate setting (required)
  • 5+ years of hands on experience in corporate accounting and reporting functions or public accounting (required). Experience with Big 4 Public Accounting firms (strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with finance domain-related technologies & platforms (e.g. Oracle, Datawarehouse, RPA, BI tools etc.)
